What our customers say
Read reviews from 40+ Palm Coast and Flagler County homeowners who trust Christian for water heaters, repairs, filtration and repipes.
Christian arrived in a timely manner and evaluated the problem that I had. He offered his solution, that I agreed with, and he fixed it on the spot. You can’t ask for more than that!
Christian has done a few plumbing jobs for me. The last job was replacing the garbage disposal. His crew came out today to fix a loud clanking noise. There was a screw in a “pocket” that I could not feel when I checked for something stuck. No charge! Christian’s other plumbing jobs were done quickly and professionally.
We contacted Christian about a broken line from our water heater. He sent Paul out right away to assess the situation. Paul arrived the next morning to install the new water heater. He was awesome; explained everything he was doing, worked efficiently, cleaned up the entire area and made sure that the job was done right.
Chris and his helper were a pleasure to deal with. Prompt and did outstanding work. His prices were reasonable. He sent an itemized invoice describing the work and price before they came out. There were no surprises. I had him repair a shower faucet, outside faucets and toilet. He also installed a garbage disposal.
Christian at Florida Plumbing & Inspection is fantastic! He is a professional that knows what he is doing. He has done several projects for us. He is always on time, knowledgeable, professional, neat, dependable and very pleasant. He installed a water filtration system at two of our homes, as well as other plumbing work.
Contacted Christian regarding a water heater upgrade/repair required by an insurance company. He responded immediately and the work was performed the very next day, complete with photos of the completed work. Awesome service. Highly recommend Florida Plumbing & Inspection for all your plumbing needs.
What a relief it is to find honest and capable professionals for your home. Alex and Christian installed a new whole house water system, and also installed release valves in our tankless water heater (which our builder plumber had neglected to do).
Christian just installed a new Rheem heat pump water heater. He is a real gentleman and master plumber. Third time I have hired him. He has done a excellent job. I highly recommend him.

Do I need a permit to move plumbing in a Palm Coast bathroom remodel?
Yes — if you relocate a drain, add a fixture, or move supply lines inside the wall or slab, the City of Palm Coast Building Division requires a plumbing permit, and a licensed plumbing contractor has to pull it. Swapping a faucet, toilet or vanity in the same spot does not need one. I pull the permit under my license (RF11067918), schedule the rough-in inspection before the walls or slab are closed, and the final after fixtures are set. The permit itself typically runs $100–$200 and adds a few days to the schedule for inspections.
Why it matters beyond the rules: an unpermitted bathroom shows up on a four-point inspection and on the seller’s disclosure when you sell. Doing it right costs less than undoing it.
What changes in a remodel, and what it takes
| Change | What’s involved | Permit? | Plumbing time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tub-to-shower conversion | New drain location, shower valve, curb or linear drain | Yes | 1–2 days rough + ½ day finish |
| Move a shower drain on a slab | Cut and re-route the under-slab drain, new trap | Yes | 2 days rough |
| Add a double vanity | Second drain arm, second set of supplies | Yes | 1 day |
| Kitchen island sink | Supply and drain through the slab, island vent (AAV or loop) | Yes | 1–2 days |
| Pot filler | ½” supply line inside the wall behind the range | Usually | ½ day |
| Like-for-like faucet, toilet or sink | Disconnect, set, reconnect | No | 2–4 hours |
Remodel plumbing I do
Bathrooms and kitchens are most of it, plus new-construction rough-ins. I work directly for homeowners and as the plumbing sub for general contractors across Flagler County.
Walk-in showers and tub-to-shower conversions
New drain locations, curbless linear drains, thermostatic and pressure-balance valves, dual heads and rain heads. The marble shower above started as an under-slab drain rework.
Vanities and double sinks
Undermount and vessel sinks set in new stone, widespread faucets, second drain arms for double vanities. I set the sinks after the countertop goes in so nothing cracks.
Kitchen sinks, islands and pot fillers
Farmhouse sinks, island supply and drain through the slab, pot fillers behind the range, fridge and dishwasher lines. Kohler, Moen, Delta or whatever you’ve picked.
Comfort-height and ADA toilets
Taller bowls, grab-bar-ready walls and the flange work that goes with a new tile floor height.
Shower valves and trim
Valve bodies set at rough-in so the trim sits flush on the finished tile. I’ll tell your tile person exactly where the plate lands.
New construction and additions
Underground and top-out rough-in for new homes and additions, inspected and pressure-tested. The 21-photo Raintree Pl job is a full underground.

Remodeling on a slab in Flagler County
Nearly every home in Palm Coast, Flagler Beach and Bunnell sits on a concrete slab, so moving a shower or adding an island sink means cutting the slab, re-routing the drain, and pouring it back. That's normal work for me, but it's the step that goes wrong when a handyman does the plumbing. I open only what's needed, photograph the new lines before the pour, and the county inspects before anything is closed.
- HOA and permit notes for Grand Haven, Hammock Dunes and Palm Coast Plantation — I've worked in all three and know the paperwork.
- Coordination: I set valve depths to the tile thickness your tile setter gives me, and I come back to set fixtures after the counters are in.
- Walls open anyway? A 1980s home with original galvanized or polybutylene lines is the cheapest it will ever be to repipe during a remodel.

Remodel questions
Yes. Any relocated drain or supply line needs a plumbing permit from the City of Palm Coast, pulled by a licensed plumbing contractor. I handle the permit and both inspections.
Yes. I cut a channel in the slab, run the drain and supplies to the island location, vent it with an air-admittance valve or loop vent, and the county inspects before the concrete is patched.
Either. I'm the plumbing sub for several Flagler County general contractors, and I work directly for homeowners who are managing their own remodel. Either way the quote is itemized and the permit is in my name.
Yes. Send me the model numbers before you order — some valves need a specific rough-in body, and some farmhouse sinks need cabinet modifications. I'll tell you before it becomes a problem.
Two to four weeks for the rough-in date. Finish sets are scheduled around your countertop and tile completion, and I hold the slot.
It depends on how much moves. If the toilet, vanity and shower stay where they are, the plumbing is mostly rough-in valves and trim-out — a day or two of work. Moving a shower drain or adding a second sink on a slab means cutting concrete, and that's where the number climbs. I itemize the rough-in and the trim-out separately so you can see exactly what the layout change costs.
Rough-in is everything behind the wall and under the floor: drains, vents, supply lines and the shower valve body, done before tile and drywall. Trim-out is the visible parts — faucets, shower heads, toilet, drain covers — installed after the finishes are in. Two visits, and I coordinate both with your tile setter and cabinet installer.
Yes. A pot filler needs a cold line run to the wall behind the range, best done while the wall is open. A second shower head or a rain head needs a valve rated for the extra flow and, on a slab home, a check that the water heater can keep up. Both are common on the remodels I do in Palm Coast.
Yes — sink, hose bib, and gas or water lines out to the lanai. On the barrier island I use brass and PEX rather than copper outdoors because the salt air is hard on exposed pipe. Drainage for an outdoor sink usually ties into the nearest cleanout; I'll tell you if that's practical before you commit to a layout.
Only during the rough-in and the trim-out, a few hours each time. Between those visits the rest of the house is back on normal service — I cap the lines in the room being remodeled so you're not living without water for weeks.
